Our website address is: https://gentlelivingshop.com – a family-operated ‘pay as you wish’ online shop for all things crafted by hand. We created and will continue to develop this website with an awareness of privacy and security. In order to operate the website, we receive hosting services from ScalaHosting* in their European Datacentre in located in Bulgaria. We use WordPress.org* as our content management system (website builder).

What we collect and store
In order for you to be able to shop on the website, we use essential cookies and collect strictly necessary information about you during the checkout process on our store. Read on to learn more.
Cookies we use (only essential)
While you visit our site, the contents of your cart will be stored in a cookie, this cookie will be deleted after two days and your cart will be empty. There are also two cookies to help your browser keep track of cart contents, these are temporary cookies which means they are deleted when closing your browser.

Personal information regarding your order
When filling in your details on the cart or checkout page, you will be filling in personal identifiable information. This information includes three types of information:
- Contact information such as name, phone number and email address. This is collected so we can contact you regarding your order, provide shipping updates, etc.
- Shipping address to calculate shipping costs and send you the order
- Credit/debit card or bank information and billing address to process your payment. This information is not stored by us, it will be sent directly and securely to our third party payment processor Stripe
- IP address this is collected for fraud and spam protection, we are looking into other ways of spam protection so we can stop collecting IP addresses, keep an eye on this privacy policy for any updates on this
We store the information about your order in our database for one year from the date the order was placed. After one year all data about your order will be deleted including your personal information and other order details. The reason we store this information for one year is so we can reference it in case of any issues with your order.
Others
We will also store comments or reviews along with your name and email, if you choose to leave them.
Optional – username and password to sign up for an account (no worries! we cannot see your password). If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

What we share with others
We take great care in handling your data and it will only be shared with the shipping courier and our payment processor.

Your name, address and phone number will be shared with the chose courier for your order.
